Parking Prices
You are charged normal UPark parking rates in all UPark EV Parking bays.
Charging Prices
Fast charging (AC <22kW)
- First hour - free
- After first hour - $0.25 per kWh (at all times)*
*A minimum fee of $1 applies after one hour and five minutes. Note: Charging at UPark Grote is FREE.
How to Pay
You can pay for your charging station using the Chargefox App.
Download the Chargefox App to your phone through Google Play and App Store and register as a customer. Then simply plug-in and power-up.

- UPark Rundle Street – 11 x 22kW charging points (including 1 accessibility bay)
- UPark Central Market – 11 x 22kW charging points (including 1 accessibility bay)
- UPark Wyatt Street – 1 x 22kW charging points (Contact UPark to secure a Permanent Reserve EV bay)
- UPark Topham Mall – 3 x 22kW charging points (Contact UPark to secure a Permanent Reserve EV bay)
- UPark Grote Street – 2 x 15-Amp EV power points
Please note: As there are limited spots, you may not always be able to charge your car on arrival at the car park.
Using the Charging Stations
To use our 22kW fast chargers (all car parks with EV charging – except UPark Grote) you must bring your own cable with a Type 2 (Mennekes) plug.
At UPark Grote Street, you must bring a cable with a conventional (AU/NZ) wall plug to use the 2 x 15-Amp EV power points available.
Availability
The EV parking system has occupancy sensors and overhead indicator to show you available car parks.
A red light means the space is occupied, an orange light means a space for an electric vehicle only, and a green light means a space is available.
