Online Booking

No, there is no extra charge.

Yes. Online bookings for Night Parking and Early Bird are both available for some of our locations.

First, check the dates and times you’ve selected and retry your search. You cannot book your parking if there is less than 30 minutes until you arrive. e.g. You can’t book 8:30am parking at 8:15am. You also need to make sure the car park you have picked in open at the time you need it open (they’re not all 24 hours).

Next, check that the parking you want (e.g. Early Bird, Night Parking) is available for the car park you’ve picked at the time you want.

As an alternative, select a different car park or time to see if there is another option to meet your needs.

Keep in mind that some options are only available as a drive-in option.

You cannot book your parking if there is less than 30 minutes until you arrive. e.g. You can’t book 8:30am parking at 8:15am.

If you want to cancel or edit your booking, you must do it more than 1 hour before your booked entry time. e.g. cancel by 10:30am if your booking is at 11:30am

You can book up to 3 months ahead.

If you want to cancel or edit your booking, you must do it more than 1 hour before your booked entry time. This will give you a full refund. You cannot cancel or amend an online booking after this time.

For bookings with multiple entries and exits (e.g. our weekday Mon–Fri Early Bird), you must cancel, at the latest, 1 hour before your first booked time for a full refund.

To cancel or edit your booking, log in to your account, and select ‘Manage My Booking’. If you are editing your booking, keep in mind that this will cancel your original booking and refund your money. From here, you can enter your revised booking and payment.

For a standard booking (i.e. with a single entry and exit), you must do it more than 1 hour before your booked entry time for a full refund.

For bookings with multiple entries and exits (e.g. our weekday Mon–Fri Early Bird), you must cancel, at the latest, 1 hour before your first booked time for a full refund.

E.g. for the 5-day weekday Early Bird, you must cancel 1 hour before the Monday entry (you cannot cancel any of the following days).

Yes, but the booking times cannot overlap. Let us explain.

When booking, you must nominate a credit card. This card is used to identify your booking. It’s how we tell when you’re coming in, and when you’re going out.

Here’s an example. You’re in a couple – husband and wife – and you share an account. Each with your own credit card (with the same number). Even though you’re two people, the system only recognises you’re a single one-person record.

You book for 10.00am–4.00pm at UPark Topham. You enter at 10.00am. You are now recorded as being in the car park for your booking.

Your partner has booked for 1.00pm–5.00pm at UPark Topham. This is an overlap, as her entry time is before your exit time. When she arrives, she will be able to enter the car park, but will be charged the casual rate, not her booked rate.

Why? Because the system still has you registered as being inside the car park and thinks it’s you trying to enter again. i.e. It sees no exit on the first booking, only an unaccounted-for second-entry.

Please note, the online booking system cannot prevent you from booking overlapping times. It is up to you to be aware that you can’t have two cars booked into the car park for overlapping times with the same credit card.

You can, however, book for times that don’t overlap (e.g. 10am–2pm and 3pm–6pm), because the system will recognise that you have already exited once that day. You can also book at separate car parks (e.g. UPark Topham and UPark Wyatt) for both overlapping and non-overlapping times, for a similar reason.

Between 8.30am–5:00pm Monday to Friday, you can contact our Customer Service Team by phone on 08 8203 7203, or email city@cityofadelaide.com.au

Outside these hours, that same number (08 8203 7203) will be forwarded to our security staff who may be able to assist.

If you are at the car park, you can also press the ( i ) information button at the entry or exit. This gets you in direct contact with our Central Control Room team, or, outside of slightly extended hours, security.

You can also manage your own booking online. Log in to your account and select “Manage my Booking”. If you want to cancel or edit your booking, you must do it more than 1 hour before your booked entry time.

Finally, in extreme cases, if there is a fault with your booking, you can pay again at the gate and we refund your ticket (the details will matter! Not all cases are guaranteed).

You can update your information online. Login to your UPark account and select ‘Modify Your Details’ in the menu. If you have forgotten your password, go to the login page and select ‘I forgot my password’ to reset your password. You can then use this to log-in and change your details.

When you arrive, simply wave your credit card over the card reader or insert your card into the slot. Do not take a ticket. The system will let you in.

Things to remember:

• Make sure you use the card you nominated when booking. If you don’t use that card, your booking will not be found, and you’ll pay like a regular drive-in customer.

• You must enter and exit during your booked time (or its grace period before or after) at the correct UPark location. Grace period is usually 30 minutes before your booked time for entry, and 1 hour after your booked time for exit.

• Bookings made less than 1 hour before entry will not have an entry grace period (i.e. you must enter after your starting time). Double check your booking to confirm your grace period.

No. When booking, you must nominate a credit card. This card is used to identify your booking, to know when you are coming in, and when you are coming out. Once you have exited, that’s it, you cannot re-enter under the same booking.

If you do re-enter, you will be charged as a regular drive-in customer.

You can park in any casual parking space in the car park. You cannot park in any reserved spaces or disabled parking bays (without permits).

Don’t worry! There is generally a grace period of 30 minutes on most bookings. This means you can arrive up to 30 minutes before your booked time. Double check your grace period before arriving.

Word of warning: if you arrive before your booked time’s grace period, your booking will be void. This means that when you enter, your booking will not yet be in the system, and you will be charged our regular drive in rates.

You can use the car park for casual parking earlier in the day (for which, you will be charged drive-in rates) if need be, just make sure you exit before your booked time’s grace period.

Don’t worry! There is generally a grace period for an hour on most bookings. This means you need to leave a maximum 60 minutes after your booked time. Double check your grace period before arriving.

If you stay later, you will be charged the extra time at the standard casual parking rates. This will be charged to your credit card when you exit.

You need the card to enter. If you use another card, or take the ticket, you will be charged a drive-in price.

If you aren’t yet at the car park, and have a replacement card, you can update your booking online in your account. Go to “Manage My Booking”. You will need to do this more than one hour before your booking. If there’s less than an hour to go, call our team on 08 8203 7203.

If you’re already at the car park, for arriving or exiting, press the ( i ) button at the entry or exit. This will put your through to our Central Control Room team who can find your booking and let you in and out.

If you need help, press the ( i ) button at the entry. This will put your through to our Central Control Room Team who can help you enter.

Press the ( i ) button at the exit. This will put your through to our Central Control Room team who can help you exit.

Park as normal, when you are leaving press the (i) button on the exit. This will put you through to our Central Control Room team who can look-up your booking and let you out.

This is important because your card is used to recognise you, so a ticket won’t be valid for your booking.

Your booking won’t be recognised if you’re at the wrong car park. You will be charged at the regular drive-in rate.

That’s odd! If the price doesn’t seem right, double check your booked exit time. Usually it means you’ve overstayed your booking and the grace period. If you have overstayed, you will be charged the additional time at the drive-in rate.

Alternatively, if you’ve missed a step in the process, the system may not have recognised your booking, which is why you’ve been charged the drive-in rate.

General Parking Information

Some of our car parks close overnight, and do not operate 24 hours.

Give us a call on 08 8203 7203 and a member of our security team will let you out. There is a cost for this service – so it is best for your wallet to double check close times before booking, or to leave your car and return in the morning.

Press the lost ticket button on the pay machine. It’s at the bottom of the screen. You will then be prompted to pay the daily maximum price. This may seem unfair, particularly if you’ve only parked for a short time, but it does discourage the ‘accidentally’ lost tickets which otherwise pop up from time to time.

Once you’ve made your payment, you will be issued a new ticket from the machine. Use this ticket to exit.

Double check you’ve returned to the right car park. It happens more often than you’d think.

If everything looks in order, and you still need help, press the ( i ) button on the ticket machine. This will put your through to our Central Control Room team who can help you.

Yes. Put your ticket in the pay machine to show the price. Pay what you want in cash, then hit ‘cancel’. Your ticket will be credited the amount you have just paid.

Put your ticket back in the remaining price will be shown. Now finish the transaction with your card.

Push cancel and enter your card again.

If you need help, press the ( i ) button on the ticket machine. This will put your through to our Central Control Room team who can help you.

Call the Customer Service Team on 08 8203 7203 and they will be able to follow up on your payment. Please keep receipts or any records you have of times, prices, so we can investigate.

Put your ticket back into the pay machine, and it will print you a receipt.

From time to time, receipts may not come out. This can happen if the machine is out of paper, or it has a paper jam.

If you need a receipt, email city@cityofadelaide.com.au to request a copy.

There could be a few reasons for that. It may have expired. It may have been used 52 times already this year. Or it may be damaged or faulty.

Press the ( i ) button on the ticket machine. This will put your through to our Central Control Room team who can troubleshoot for you.

Reserved parking is great value if you need to come and go during the day. It’s also a great option if you work unusual hours – as it gives you easy access to parking in a car park that is open late, or open 24 hours.

AFL Parking

AFL Season Parking

Not with the season parking pass. However, you can book individual games using our casual football parking rates.

Give us a call on 08 8203 7203 so we can help.

If you still have the card, you can still use it to enter and exit. It doesn’t need to remain valid.

If not, give us a call on 08 8203 7203 so we can help.
